The Polo
Lone Riders Saddle Club is a not for profit,
community-based, family-oriented organization comprised
of members and volunteers who are dedicated to education
and skill development in all disciplines pertaining to
equine activities.
The Lone Riders Saddle Club was founded in 1998. Around
the year 2000, work began to support the development of
the Circle T Arena at StageCoach Park. Current
membership includes over 40 families totaling more than
100 persons. A typical monthly meeting will include 25
members. Meetings are held on the first non-holiday
Monday of each month.
Our Goal & Our Passion is to bring the joy of equine
entertainment and equine activities back into our
Community for all to enjoy ~ whether as a participant or
spectator ~ young or young at heart. We achieve this by
hosting and producing a variety of events.
We produce six or seven Horse Shows each year on select
Saturdays. Attendance is strongly affected by weather
conditions but typically tallies in the hundreds of
persons. We are planning four advertisements in local
papers for 2007.
We provide pony rides at 3 local festivals to introduce
people to the beauty of horses while raising funds to
support our arena.
In partnership with the Polo Police Dept, we provide a
day of free horse riding fun so that inner city kids can
experience the best of our rural lifestyle.
We organize Trail Rides for fostering community
fellowship, usually on the second Saturday of months
from March through November.
We host educational Fun Night sessions at our arena,
usually on the last Friday of months from April through
October.
Our Prime Directives guide us in our planning and
decision making processes. These directives are:
To maintain and enhance our facilities at Stage Coach
Park in Polo, Missouri.
To maintain a responsible financial status within our
community.
To foster genuine sportsmanship and fellowship between
all members of our community.
We cultivate sponsor relations with companies interested
in reaching our members and audiences. We strive to
bring bona-fide value to our sponsors by giving
visibility to their products and services, both at our
events and via our newspaper advertisements.
